Developing a Community
Our community is changing and construction work is already well underway. Existing old, damp houses are being transformed into new, warm and dry homes – creating healthier, more desirable streets and communities. Approximately 2,800 new social homes will be built.
In Fenchurch, we have already build new homes, a new childhood centre and refurbished the community hall – Te Whare Piringa. But that’s just a taste of what’s to come.
Change involves more than just building new homes. We’re reshaping the community with things like new amenities, playgrounds, safe pathways and cycle ways. We are fostering social and economic change too by attracting businesses to create jobs and opportunities for everyone in the community.
