Over 100 new warm, dry homes and apartments are planned for the Line/Epping neighbourhood. Construction activities are underway. The redevelopment will be supported by a range of placemaking and regeneration initiatives. Based on feedback from local residents, these include improvements to Taniwha Reserve, better connected streets and safer walkways and parks.
Auckland Council are upgrading Taniwha Reserve, and possible improvements include providing better lighting, planting fruit trees and building a new walkway around the reserve. Plans are also underway to improve water quality and reduce flooding from the stream, and to increase the size of the reserve.
Safer, smarter connections
Better connections for walking and cycling will provide safe and easy access to the town centre, trains and buses. The extension of Eastview Road will link the Line/Epping neighbourhood with the town centre.
New, high-quality homes
The Line/Epping neighbourhood development includes a mixture of state, affordable and private market homes in a variety of styles. The proposed designs include a range of home sizes to fit the needs of the community including 1 – 5 bedroom options.
